As much as I enjoy soldering, I do also love things that are bolted together. This one-of-a-kind steampunk style necklace gave me the oppportunity to do both. It is made in two sections--the top of which is an antique watch calendar ring--which are riveted to each other using round sterling silver tubing as spacers between the levels. The effect is very sculptural, architectural, and results in a necklace that looks intriguing from every angle. Text reads: "tightly wound." 18k gold, 14k rose gold, sterling silver, 3mm red sapphires. This contemporary piece is a bit of steampunk meets fine jewelry. Brushed satin finish with patina.
